Hi there! We’re Melenie Gonzalez and Austin, the duo behind Paint with Purpose. This journey began when God gave us a vision for this brand over a year ago. For months, we wrestled with doubts and uncertainty, going back and forth between “yes” and “no.” But everything changed in November 2024, when we attended the Youth and Young Adult Thrive Conference. It was there that God confirmed that the time was now to step out in faith and pursue this calling together.

Our story is rooted in creativity and connection. We both started skateboarding at a young age—it’s how we first met! Art, skateboarding, and creativity have always been a part of who we are. However, when we were younger, our relationship with God looked very different.

I (Melenie) grew up as a believer but wasn’t fully living for God. After high school, I found myself in a difficult season, and it was during that time that I fell to my knees, asking Him for help. That moment changed everything, and though there’s more to my testimony, I’ll save that for another day. Austin’s journey was different—he didn’t grow up as a believer but came to know Jesus in 2023. That year, he fully gave his life to Christ and was baptized, starting a new chapter in his life.

Through the ups and downs, God has shown us that we are made with a purpose and for a purpose. Paint with Purpose is our way of blending the creativity we love with the faith we live by, using it to glorify Him and inspire others to do the same.
